Garland Hotel Potato Pouch
The Potato Pouch is used to cook potatoes in a microwave. The bag absorbs the moisture while the potato is cooking and prevents the potato skin from shriveling. The potatoes will be similar to oven baked---the skin will be tender and the potato will easily fluff up.
The Potato Pouch can be used to cook potatoes, sweet potatoes and corn on the cob. It can also be used to heat up tacos, tortilla shells and dinner rolls.
The Potato Pouch bag measures approximately 9 x 10 inches and can hold up to four small potatoes. It is made of cotton print material with batting and is machine washable. Instructions are included. Each pouch is made of a different cotton print.
The Potato Pouch is a product of the Restoration Committee of the Garland Hotel in Bedford, Iowa.
The proceeds from the sale of the Potato Pouch will be used for the restoration of the hotel which was founded in 1857.
