Wud Bi Tek
Wud Bi Tek couldn’t be more Southwest Iowa. It is nestled in Adams County down in the southwest corner of Iowa located on eighty acres of native woodland. Walnut, Hickory, Chokecherry, Cedar, Hedge and many varieties of Oak abound.
Since I have always tried to stay abreast with the cutting edge of technology the world of solid modeling, CAD-CAM (computer aided drafting, computer aided machining) provides a way to continually advance and keep growing. Even though I use the most up to date technology to create my products each and every piece is created from dead or windfall timber that is harvested and processed right here by me and my wife.
We have burnt wood as a heat source for over thirty years and worked toward being able to process lumber. Then in 2005 we purchased a CNC router making things complete. Having repaired CNC machines, programmed PLC’s and designed equipment the operation of the CNC router came second nature. The operation of CNC along with solid modeling brought us to the point of creating our own totally unique designs from our own wood from our own timber.
Each and every piece is unique and individually different due to the wood grains, colors and the imperfections of Mother Nature, Each piece is created from dead and windfall trees leaving the live healthy trees. We are continually designing and creating new pieces to add to the collection that can only be found at Wud Bi Tek.
