Stone Coasters
Description
This set of four (4) stoneware coasters features four (4) different photographs of Glenwood sites by two local photographers. Ethan Miller photographed the Davies Amphitheater, Glenwood Library, Glenwood Post Office and Resource Center and Sue Barnes phototgraphed the Glenwood Lake Park.
Glenwood Lake Park – The near 50 acre park has a small campground (RV and tent) for travelers as well as a number of shelters used for picnics and gatherings of families and friends. Visitors may fish in the 6.5 acre lake, watch the geese, walk the .6 mile paved path around the lake, hike trails on the east side of the park, play on the playground equipment, or simply enjoy the fountain in the center of the lake. The Mills County Historical Museum is also located on the park grounds with its one room school, peg barn and other exhibits of rural culture. The Native American Earth Lodge is across the street. The Davies Amphitheater is also located in the park
Davies Amphitheater ---Located in the Glenwood Lake Park, this 750 seat, open-air theater offers quality, live family entertainment throughout the summer months. The facility won the 1981 Iowa Architectural Award for design. Local churches have held services and weddings in this lovely setting and the facility is available for rent by the public.
Glenwood Public Library – The library celebrated 100 years of serving the Glenwood community during National Library Week, April 15-21, 2007.
Glenwood Post Office – The Glenwood Post Office is located in the southeast corner of the beautiful downtown Glenwood city square. The Resource Center (seen in the upper right hand corner of the photograph) is located southeast of downtown in the hills of rural Glenwood.
The coasters are backed with a rubber material to protect your furniture. The coasters come in a set of four. Purchase these once in a lifetime Glenwood treasures for a gift or for yourself. These are sure to be a favorite treat for your friends who have move out of the area.
Sold in a set of four (4).
