We created Fannie E Bags three years ago and have been designing handbags every since. We are cousins, and Fannie E was our grandmother. Fannie was seldom without her handbag. Many of our styles of handbags are named after Fannie E’s relatives.

We both taught family and consumer science (formerly called home economics) and are now retired. Janet lives at Panora, Iowa, and Fran lives in Grand Junction, Iowa. Our love of sewing and fabric led us to making handbags for ourselves and our friends. Our goal was to make fun unique bags that give style to any outfit.

Each and every purse, tote, and handbag is designed and hand-sewn by Janet or Fran. Our bags are one of a kind and made of unique designer fabrics. They are lightweight, yet sturdy, with plenty of pockets to keep you organized. We are always looking for new styles and fabrics to keep our purses on the cutting edge of fashion. There is no better way to update your look for the seasons as getting a fashion forward purse or handbag.
