I have been making pottery professionally since 1972, but I really started back when I was a child. I made pottery out of clay on our farm, digging samples from the river banks in southern Iowa. My first pots were dried on fence posts and fired in Moms trash pile. 

My first business venture was selling pottery at shows, then wholesale for several years.  Now   as I am retired I make pottery when I feel like it. I do a few shows.  I live in Greenfield Iowa.  Some of my pottery is hand built and some is thrown.  All my patterns are my original designs.  Everything is high fired stoneware.

My studio is in a small garage in my backyard.  I welcome visitors and teach a few classes.
