I grew up on a small Iowa farm, but left the state for several years after college. While living in other places, I served as the expert on all things farming and agricultural for my friends and co-workers.  I gave my friends’ babies presents featuring farm animals and vowed to help with their agricultural education. I discovered that it was difficult to find the kinds of baby clothing I wanted to give as gifts, though, so I started making my own. I like to feature standard themes such as animals and tractors, but I’ve also branched out to create designs that show other Iowa themes such as wind turbines.

I returned to small town Iowa several years ago and value supporting local rural businesses. Buy Iowa allows these rural entrepreneurs to share their products with a larger audience. I’m proud to participate with Buy Iowa both to share my designs and also to become a part of a community of entrepreneurial Iowans.
